The Endocannabinoid System

The Endocannabinoid System consists of endocannabinoids and their receptors, it is present in almost every animal on Earth. The endocannabinoid system is found throughout the brain, organs, connective tissue, immune system, and glands and its function is to maintain homeostasis. It was discovered in 1990 and is only recently garnering the medicinal/legal attention it deserves due to federal prohibition barring research.

Cannabinoids have been found to help communication between different types of cells to help with lessening pain signals originating in the area, stabilize the nerve ending to prevent severe pains & calms nearby immune cells preventing inflammation. These 3 mechanisms of cannabinoids is what provides us with the relief known from this plant.

Endocannabinoids are cannabinoids that the human body produces within itself, there are currently two known endocannabinoids. Phytocannabinoids are plant-derived cannabinoids, the most popular ones being CBD & THC. There are well over 100 known phytocannabinoids with more being discovered every year. Combined with endocannabinoids phytocannabinoids promote good health with a holistic approach. Although CBD isolate offers great medical potential taking a full spectrum product will provide more cannabinoids in it, giving more potential for relief.
